Garlic Butter Grilled Oyster
Ingredients
1 dozen fresh oysters
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the minced garlic and chopped parsley. Set aside.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Carefully shuck the oysters using a shucking knife, keeping the oysters on the half shell. Place them on a tray to keep them steady.
Place the oysters directly on the preheated grill, ensuring they are level so the juices do not spill out. Grill for about 3-4 minutes, just until the edges of the oysters start to curl.
Using a pastry brush, carefully brush the garlic-parsley butter onto each oyster. Sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese over each one.
Close the grill lid and continue grilling for another 3-4 minutes, until the butter is bubbling and the cheese is melted and golden.
Remove the oysters from the grill using tongs and place them on a serving platter. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
